El Obraje
The newest crop of El Obraje has arrived, showcasing the innovation and resilience that define this remarkable coffee farm. Originally a wheat farm in the 1990s, Hacienda El Obraje transformed into one of the first coffee farms outside of Pasto in 2000. Facing Nariño’s dramatic temperature swings and humid rainy seasons, the farm adapted with low-density shade trees and careful cultivation in volcanic, mineral-rich soil. Located near Colombia’s southern border with Ecuador, Nariño has become a celebrated hub for coffee innovation, and El Obraje continues to stand out through its experimentation and dedication to quality. This year’s harvest offers a balanced cup with a pleasant body, mild acidity, and notes of apricot, honey, and rosemary.
