Grace Tesmer, the artist behind Studio Esteldor, is kicking off our Artist Series project with her beautiful daylily tumbler. Grace is an industrial designer and artist based in Columbus, Ohio. She spent her childhood on the family farm in the rural midwest, infusing her work with a clear focus on nature and botanical design.
Through her art, she often explores concepts with contrasting truths or multidimensional relationships to better understand and illustrate the complexity of our human experience.
ARTIST STATEMENT
“One Day at a Time” explores the brief yet endless nature of “today.” Like a daylily bloom, each Today has a unique beauty that lasts only for a moment. Today is also our perpetual state of being and our constant opportunity to shape the future.
