We are so excited to have Jasmine back from Nicolas and Angela’s El Porvenir Farm in Nicaragua! This coffee was a Roastery favorite last year, and it is tasting even better this year. Nicolas and Angela are operating their farm in the Jinotega region of Nicaragua at around 1,450 meters above sea level. They are in the process of transitioning the operation of El Porvenir to their daughter Mireya so that they can retire and spend quality time with their 12 grandchildren. We source El Porvenir: Jasmine and all of our Nicaraguan coffees from Gold Mountain Coffee Growers. They are a farming group that solely operates out of Nicaragua. Gold Mountain is focused on working with local farming communities to produce world class coffees. They then reinvest in the communities through various social programs. We are so happy to be able to help spread the word of these wonderful coffees while working with an organization so focused on community enrichment. This coffee is a stunner! Jasmine has been showing up really well for us at the roastery on Fetco and pour overs. It’s always a dynamic clean cup with notes of Pear, Lemongrass, and Butterscotch.
