After a long-awaited return to the roastery, Koke is back, and we’re so excited to have it on the offering list again. Grown in Yirgacheffe, Ethiopia, Koke is made from carefully hand-picked coffee cherries, with farmers returning to the trees every 8–10 days to select only the ripest fruit. The cherries are then fermented, dried on raised beds, sorted, and prepared for their journey to your cup. The care that goes into every step of the process is a big part of what makes Koke such a special coffee. This year’s crop brings all the things we love about Koke, with tasting notes of Mixed Berry, Lavender, and Lemon Drop. It’s bright and fruit-forward, with a delicate floral character and a refreshing citrus finish. We’ve kept the roast profile consistent with years past to let those qualities shine through, but, as always, a new crop brings its own unique personality to the cup. We’re thrilled to have Koke back, and we hope you’re just as excited to see this customer and barista favorite return!
