Kenya has a reputation for producing some of the highest quality coffee on the market even though it is one of the last countries in Africa to produce coffee commercially. The late start helped Kenya build a coffee market around traceability allowing farmers to build their reputations for quality and get higher prices. This created a fiercely competitive market where farmers work diligently to produce exceptional coffee year after year. This coffee comes from the Bungoma region of Kenya. Located close to Uganda, the area benefits from rich soil, annual rains, and the second largest open-aired market. This coffee has a sparkling lime acidity followed by a vanilla cake-like sweetness making for a dynamically balanced cup of coffee.
